AC Shadows Unveils Unexpected Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season
In a surprising collaboration that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Disclosed
According to the formal release, "An unusual confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of forbidden practices and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret group.
The questline focuses on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses
The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a powerful moment showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Extra Content
Players who finish the quest will receive an unique katana together with several items hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This patch also introduces the game's latest complimentary story content, titled "The Enigma." This humorous mission pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they trade distinctive skills: Naoe introduces a dramatic version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns non-fatal stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "The Mystery" also includes a new environmental puzzle that may finally shed light on some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
