Passionate supporters of the actress are demanding that a individual who jumped a barrier and touched the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A viral footage depicts the Australian man bypassing media personnel and lunging at Grande while the actors made its way down a promenade surrounded by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being arrested", though legal records revealed that he was set to be present on the next day. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

History of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a performance. His Instagram account contains recordings of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last December.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is obviously a punishable act," wrote an Instagram follower, in a message to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user remarked.

Fans Express Concern Over Ariana's Safety

Several fans accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote one more comment on Instagram.

A number of supporters also questioned guards at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while others called for online networks to ban Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Event Details

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande seemed shocked when she was approached by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

Numerous of attendees had assembled in a mass of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good international launch in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had waited for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The film, to be premiered on 21 November, is the sequel of a two-part adaptation of the popular theatrical show Wicked, which revolves around the unlikely bond between two contrasting sorceresses.

The production itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a light pink sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who acts as the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of 2024 in the UK, and received ten award recognitions, earning two for outstanding attire and set decoration.
