Shock as Popular South African DJ Shot Dead in Johannesburg.
A renowned South African media personality and entertainer has been fatally gunned down in the nation's economic hub Johannesburg, sending shockwaves across a nation battling entrenched crime.
Warrick Stock, widely recognized as DJ Warras, was shot and killed in the downtown area on a Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the 40-year-old presenter was approached by three suspects, with one shot at him before running away.
The purpose behind the incident remains unclear and no suspects have been apprehended have been made, as per the official statement.
The Fatal Incident
Authorities indicated that Stock was targeted as he was exiting a location in the vicinity of the Carlton Centre.

"The report indicates the victim was confronted by three unknown suspects after he parked his car, and they opened fire at him before fleeing the scene on foot," an official report confirmed.
CCTV footage reportedly captured a suspect with dreadlocks and dressed in what looked like a guard's attire shooting on Stock before making his escape.
The DJ attempted to flee after he was wounded but succumbed to his injuries on the opposite side of the road.
Police added that Stock had an weapon on his person and nothing was taken during the incident.
Important clues, like cartridges, were recovered from the location.

Authorities have requested anyone who saw the event who may have seen the suspects to come forward.
"We know they covered significant ground after the attack, and police have been following their trail to find their whereabouts," stated a police chief.
