The visionary game developer, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular video game Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California at the age of 55.

The tragic news was announced by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the development studio that he helped create.

The influential game designer died after his car crashed and caught fire on a motorway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, as reported by.
