One extended voyage through the Land Down Under has been cancelled days after the tragic passing of an older woman who was stranded by the cruise liner on a isolated tropical isle.

Suzanne Rees had been walking on the tropical location with fellow passengers from the Coral Adventurer, but parted ways from the group for a break. The liner left without her and went back after some time after the ship staff discovered the passenger was unaccounted for.

A major rescue mission found her remains the following day.

Authorities are looking into the event, together with police and the state coroner.

Head of the voyage organizer said that passengers and personnel on the vessel were informed that the remainder of the voyage had been cancelled due to the "sad loss and earlier technical problems".
